As one gets older the chances of having a completely eye opening experience get smaller and smaller. Thanks to the media and a more internationally minded conscious, it is hard to find a topic that one knows nothing about. That is what this course was to me. As naïve as it sounds, I knew nothing about the caste system in India, and had only heard the term Untouchable a couple of times in my life. This class opened new doors for me as it made me see the real life situation in India as well as explore a literature that was completely foreign to me. (ఇంకా…)

అఫ్సర్ నా అసలు పేరు కాదు.
చిన్నప్పుడు పొడుగాటి పేరు యేదో పెట్టారు అమ్మా, నాన్న.
ఇప్పుడు ఆ పేరు కాయితాల మీదే వుండి పోయింది.
అఫ్సర్ అనే పేరు ఇంట్లోనూ, బయటా పిలిచే పేరు అయ్యింది.
ఖమ్మం జిల్లా చింతకాని లొ చిన్నపటి చదువులూ, ఖమ్మంలొ కాలేజీ చదువు, వుస్మానియా లో డాక్టరేటు, ఆ తర్వాత విస్కాన్సిన్- మాడిసన్ లొ పరిశోధనా, పాఠాలు చెప్పడం.
కల్పన, అనిందు ల తో ఇప్పుడు ఆస్టిన్లో.
యూనివర్సిటి ఆఫ్ టెక్సస్ లొ పాఠాలు చెప్పడం ప్రస్తుత వుద్యోగం.
మూడు కవిత్వ పుస్తకాలు, వొక విమర్శపుస్తకం ఇప్పటి దాకా వచ్చాయి.
అప్పుడప్పుడూ కథలు కూడా రాస్తూ వుంటాను.
‘కథ – స్థానికతా’ అనే పుస్తకం త్వరలో రానుంది.
